Sarah and Nate Nursery Ideas

Nate and Sarah have been troubled for some time. Like all new parents they were in search for the ultimate baby room. Chantille and Jaren wanted to do somthing nice for the new parents and consulted Schewaan Woo, a famous feng shui designer from Japan. After much time and consideration Mr. Woo sent in the final drafts. We were thrilled and told Mr. Woo to finish the baby room for Sarah and Nate! We hope Sarah and Nate enjoy the new baby room as much as we do.

From Kentucky to Wyoming

This was a great sign that Wyoming was almost over. I never want to drive through it again on 2 lane roads. Most of them were not paved. We survived somehow.






Erik really likes this picture, because he thinks it looks like we are part of mount rushmore. This is also a great shot of my new classes. I like them.

Erik and I also went to City of Rocks while in Idaho. Erik is trying to figure out how to climb done from the rock. I am just laughing behind the camera.

Here is a picture of Erik and I on the Michigan side of Lake Michigan. We went there for a ward activity. It was a overcast day, but it was still fun to play in the lake.

Back in Idaho and Utah

This post will mostly be of pictures, because they are fun. I even have some Coral and Abbigail. They both have grown up so much since I have seen them last.Here is Abbi Jo and her famous smile. Looking good!









Here is Abbigail doing a leg kick. She did them for us for about half an hour. She is pretty good at them.





Here is all the produce we picked from mom's garden. It would feed a family of 4 for months. We took some of this to provo and shared with Chantille. My favorite part of picking the garden is when Erik threw a tomato off the side of the mountain, because it was dirty. Good thing he didn't do that with all the produce.




I love this picture of Coral. She has quite the cute pose. It was really good to see her again.

Pictures of family

Saturday we went on a boat tour with sarah and nate. It was great to see them and we went town down Saturday and Monday. Nate and I also both finished reading Harry Potter. On the boat tour we went out on Lake Michigan. It was really cool to see the skyline from a different prospective. We also went to the bean, which looks like a huge silver jellybean. See if you can find all of us in the picture. It was a great weekend and I am really glad that Nate and Sarah came. We also went to the Field Museum on Monday. We say a special display about Darwin. I learned a lot.

I thought I should update and show you all what we have been doing. Last week was the Smiley family reunion. We went to his pioneer village. Here are all the Smiley cousins (except Erik) riding on a small train. As you can see, there family is much smaller than ours. There is also a picture of a tracter. We rode on what they called a hay ride, but it was really just a tractor pulling trailer. There was no hay, but that is probably ok, because straw is itchy.

After the delivery of Baby Carson, Coral walked by Chantille and bumped into the chair and said, "Baby brother hit me."

ZOO!

Erik took me to the Brookfield Zoo to celebrate my birth. We saw a dolphin show that was only a lame 20 min long. It was fun to watch the dolphins, but they didn't have them perform for very long. Oh well. My favorite animal was the polar bears. The mom came out of the cave just as we walked up. Then it jumped into the water. I want a baby polar bear. There was a million people at the zoo, more people than animals. We bought a powerade for $3.50, and it was only a 20 oz. isn't that ridiculous??? I think so, but we were thirsty.This week i worked at the Kane County Fair. It was mostly boring, but everyday my supervisor and I would go and buy ice cream cones for a dollar. The Fair had elephant rides for 5 dollars, but i didn't go. I also saw some cute baby potbelly pigs and baby goats there. It has been an animal week.

Here is a picture of the tie that JoAnn bought for Devon. We have not mailed it to him, so don't mention that he is going to get the best tie of his life.

Young at heart!

Hurrah!! After trying all morning long I finally got this picture to post to the blog. This was taken on Grandpa Lamberts 91st birthday. He was making a bridge for Abbigail to go under by kneeling on the ottoman and resting on the couch. He had to stay that way for a while because Abbigail went under too fast and it was hard to get a picture of her. Pretty good for a 91 year old man!

Ravinia

My email last week was pretty short, so I decided to expound on a few interesting things from last week. On Wednesday we all went to Ravinia, which took 2 hours in rush hour and only about 1 1/4 in non-rush hour. Ravinia has a cool outdoor amplatheater. That is were the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sang. The seats that were in in theater were 95 dollars! We had the lawn seat and there were TONS of people on the lawn. Most of them brought a small folding table and put a tablecoth, candles, flowers in vases on them. They would then bring out there goblets and have a little wine to go with the performance. Lots had fancy picnic dinners as well. We brought Subway, because we didn't know it was such as fancy occasion. The music was wonderful.

The taste of Chicago is like a big fair for food. The only animals there were the Budwieser horses. We walked around a lot and got some free samples of toothpast, advil, soda. We got our pictures taken with some country dude, but it was just a green back drop and they added him in. It was pretty silly, but it was free. We stayed down town for about 6 hours. We tried a lot of different food. We had jerk chicken, which was the best food there. I am glad we found that. There was a line for free cheesecake, but they didn't let us get any. It was sad.

Sunday we watched the fireworks from the front door. The Calvery Christian chuch shot them off, so they were pretty good. It was nice not to have to drive anywhere. Erik and I got the 4th a nd 5th off, so we are enjoying our holidays.
